Blessed with the best.

Went for Electric Run with Miao Lin and Trisha on 12th April (saturday) and it was a blast!!

I've been asked by many if the price was worth the whole event. It was $68 for the early bird price, and the run basically consists of a before and after party and the 5K run with various set ups and booths along the way. I honestly think that $68 is a tad bit expensive, but I still would have gone for it cause it's a worthwhile experience. It's really damn cool seeing all the get-ups people would come in!!! Expressing individuality indeed haha.

We arrived sometime around 6ish, when many runners where putting on glow paints or simply preparing their attire. I feel damn underdressed seeing all the body paint, tutu skirts, wigs and abundance of glow sticks on everyone else. We came pretty much empty handed with only our race pack items with us.

But hey, we managed to share paint with some very kind souls!! So yay we had some body art on lolz and during the before party, we managed to grab a couple of light sticks thrown to the crowd too.







I ran through the 5K just because. The set ups were damn pretty so every now and then, I'll stop in my tracks just to take a couple of pictures or selfies.
At the end of it all, we stayed around for the after party for a little before cabbing back at about 1030PM! That pretty much summarises the very first run I participated in ^_^

Just a week ago, I managed to sign up for Vertical Marathon with a team of 4 others and I can't wait for it in June!! Hehehe. Meanwhile, time to train myself for the 63 storeys flight of stairs.


Then on Sunday, it was my birthday. So yeah, cheers to me being eighteen though I'm not exactly thrilled about the fact that I'm already this old.

Sometime around midnight, Kelvin came over to my place with a mini red velvet cupcake with a candle (it has become a tradition for both our birthdays already) and it was nice finally being able to catch up with him when it's just the both of us for an hour or so. Received a call from Zhiyi a few minutes before midnight too with him apologising profusely for being tied down with freshmen camp duties and all HAHAH. It's damn funny but you two, I'm still waiting for my present!!!!

Thanks to everyone else who sent me birthday wishes, be it through whatsapp or text! I don't actually share my birthdate on Facebook or any other social media platforms so I'm really touched by the long texts and short wishes alike, cause some people actually do remember ;) Thanks so much guys!! *blows kisses*


In the afternoon, I spent it on a date with my boy where we had lunch/dinner at Pique Nique. He sent me home thereafter, and there was a surprise awaiting for me from the h&f group.





In conclusion, I had to solve some puzzle and find out where they were, and when I did find them, I got cake smashed by my sister who was in cahoots with them. I knew she was up to something when she wasn't home but I didn't expect her to be the one caking my face. Trisha and her "you're her sister, so she definitely won't suspect you" and idk why or how Trisha knows, but it holds true.

My dad actually got me 2 new camera lenses, knowing that I really wanted to work on improving my photography skills. My mum got me a new pair of running shoes cause mine was getting really old and dirty, and she knew I've been crazy obsessed with working out every single day so she thought it was a worthwhile investment! My sister got me a gym/yoga ball (HAHAHA) also because she knew I've been crazy about working out and honestly, I'm moved. She's only 14 this year and she saved up about $30 just for a birthday gift to me. Isn't she such a sweet little thing.

Jerry got me an SD card, which I really needed cause I kept complaining about needing extra memory space, so thank you!! He recently ventured into photography tooooo and I foresee us working on some project in the near future, probably haha. Miao Lin and Victor got me a vanity box with various vanity items which I've been contemplating buying them myself so thank you!! Vivien got me chocolate cocktails and I honestly believe that there's some innuendo intended HAHAH but thank you Vivien!! Brandon and Trisha got me a Kate Spade wallet and upon receiving it I was left speechless because 1) it's so damn expensive and 2) I can't believe something in my to-buy list for 2 years is finally resting on my palms. Can't thank my best friend and my boyfriend enough!!!!

It was a blast that night, and thanks guys for all the gifts!!



On monday, I was supposed to have a class outing with my very first group of classmates in poly (from the first sem) and I was initially told that we're gonna be chilling at a friend's place... But I was lied to LOL. When I arrived, they were singing 'happy birthday' with cake in hand and loads of food for a picnic at Sentosa. I really didn't expect this (even though I had a pretty expressionless face as mentioned by some) but I was so happy!! And of course, happy belated birthday to the two other April babies too!!

I was totally undressed for the beach - thick shirt with skirt and covered shoes and socks - but whatever. I realise I haven't mentioned much about heading out with my poly friends or anything of that sort, and that's because I generally am not very close to most. But Monday was a really great time, especially when catching up with some of the girls. I should probably make it a point to talk about my poly life more.

And so, that's what I've been up to during the weekends to Monday.


You know, I always thought that my birthday was special because up till the age of 15, I have never met anyone who's birthdate was the same as mine. But when I was 16, I realised there is a guy in CCHY who shared it with me. Then when I was 17, I met a friend of Brandon's and two classmates of mine (one from each sem) who shares the same birthdate. And now when I'm 18, I came across another fellow Ambassador who shares it too so that's... 5 people my gosh I really don't feel special anymore HAHAHA.

Just kidding. But Monday officially marks the 3rd slice of birthday cake + 1 cupcake I had (not including those I had at cafe's or for Victor's birthday). This month is soooo gonna get me fat I need to work twice as hard!!! ):
