I finally got to visit Gardens by the Bay after itching to go for a very long time. I've always been hesitant about visiting gardens since the weather is always so dreadful but after reading so many reviews about it, I finally willed myself to go. And it just so happens that I got to go with Brandon's parents and himself after they booked tickets at a discounted price from Sembawang CC last Sunday!

There's really nothing much in the outdoor gardens. There were a couple of interesting plants and sights but the truly eye-opening experience is when you actually enter the conservatories (which they call Cloud Forest and Flower Dome) where you get to enjoy air-conditioning too.

I find it wasted for those who didn't visit the conservatories simply because you have to purchase tickets to enter. It's so worth it!!! But if you choose to only visit one, you should go for the Cloud Forest because the sight of the 7-storey high waterfall that greets you at the entry will take your breath away.

Anyway I snapped away like some crazy girl who has never seen flowers her entire life. There were so many stunning species of flora and fauna and being the floral lover I am, I really enjoyed every hour spent. It's a pity my camera battery didn't last me long enough for both conservatives ): I should have brought along a spare battery like Brandon told me to...



































So yes the crazy bombardment of pictures taken mostly by me and Brandon. Quite proud of the results if I could say so myself hehe.

I honestly don't remember the last time I woke up at 6am though lol. Can't believe I used to be awake at that ungodly hour for at least 8 years of my primary and secondary school life. But if it means riding in comfort in a coach to Gardens by the Bay from Sembawang then I guess it's all worth it.

These is a really old photoset captured on film last year. By late I mean Apr-Mar 2014 kinda late. I totally forgot to develop this expired roll of Velvia 100 until I did some cleaning the other day, when I found it lingering in some box totally forsaken.

So, this proves to be one of the first few rolls I've taken and I would say it's kind of bad? LOL. These are the only good ones and I guess there's some sort of beauty to this melancholic, unintended photos.
I was very disappointed in how most of the photos turned out blurry, but I can only blame it on my amateur skills then. Not that I'm a pro now, but practice certainly makes perfect.

I really can't wait for Japan (okay you must be bored of me repeating this in every other post of mine) and I'm definitely gonna prep a few rolls for the 17-day trip. I'm still contemplating on this whether or not I should get myself this new lens which I've been eyeing on since forever... I just hope I can get it by Japan cause that would mean better photos too. I'm itching to shoot some landscapes.

Well, that's pretty much of my nerdy post on photography.

Tomorrow's gonna be the official start to my new job as a graphic designer (I shall reveal the company once I get more comfortable) and all, and I'm so stoked and nervous at the same time. While I have done several design and marketing jobs up to date, this is actually one of the first few times I will be office-bound. Usually it's just a short interview or discussion of the project rundown at the industrial parks with the bosses before I embark on the tasked assignment but this time, I am really going to be situated there. But rather than being anxious, it's more of an excitement for this unknown terrain I've never explored.

Okay, I'm just being mindlessly rambling don't mind me haha.

And since today's the last of my break (hahah actually not really since my workdays are only thrice every week), I went out with Brandon yet again but today was quite a weird turn of events. Somehow, after having yogurt at the 6-day old Nookie, we decided to head to the National Museum of Singapore... LOL.
It's my first trip there but it was actually quite interesting?? We are not fans of museums but I guess this is cause of the stereotypical view of these attractions being boring. But anyway, let's say I learnt some new things about Singapore's history from Brandon since I didn't take history in upper sec. Weird, I know.

I was craving for Sushi for dinner so we went to Sushi Express that recently opened in Sun Plaza. And I saw Joleen who happens to be on shift today!! Haven't seen her in quite a while actually but there was quite a crowd so we didn't get to catch up much either ):



After texting a couple of friends these past couple of days, I guess I should really make it a point to start meeting some fellow friends that I haven't been catching up with. Now that my holidays are really here, man, I should make it count.
There's not much on my to-do list for this holidays actually. It's just mainly saving up for Japan, which has been going well so far since I've covered all accommodation and possible expenses except the air ticket. A few more hundreds and I would be so ready hehe.

So it's time to work and catch up with the people I haven't seen in forever. Likewise, please drop me a text if you would like to meet or catch up or whatever. I probably miss you too.
